Air India Flight AI 379 Turned Back forced to Return Canine Security Squad To The Rescue Of Air India Delhi-Goa Flight!
In a dramatic turn of events, an Air India Flight AI 379, which was en route from Phuket (Thailand) to New Delhi, was forced to Emergency landing to Phuket on Friday after receiving Bomb Threat Onboard
The aircraft, with 156 passengers and crew aboard, had just taken off when the pilot was notified of a possible threat. Erring on the side of caution, the cockpit crew promptly advised air traffic controllers and, in a classic example of aviation risk mitigation, flew the aircraft over the sea for a short while before safely returning it to the airport.
Running Emergency Response
The plane landed around 11:38 AM local time, Phuket airport authorities “activated full emergency response.” The passengers were quickly deplaned, taken to a safe place and the planes were checked by security and bomb squads.
A suspect affiliated with the note has been identified and is being questioned by local police, according to reports.
All Passengers Safe
The affected passengers have been rebooked with the airline. The vast majority of them were re-booked for a later plane bound for New Delhi that day.
